International Picnic Day

Happy Picnic Day everyone!

Here in Lebanon the weather's SO good for picnics!
I usually go on picnics with my friends (the last one was about a month ago).
But it's been so long since I last went on a family picnic! I should definitely work on it with my parents and sister!

World Environment Day

Since 1973, World Environment Day has been celebrated internationally on June 5 because that was the day when the original UN conference on the Human Environment began.

Every year, the United Nations pick a city to host WED and a theme for this day.

This year the city's Pittsburgh, and the theme is "Many Species, One Planet, One Future".

World Children's Day

Happy Children's Day everyone!

On this very special day, I decided to share with you a story from my childhood:

When I was 5 or 6 years old, I used to pray in a very structured way before going to sleep every night:

First, I'd thank God for my family, my health and for all the "good things" in my life.
Then, I'd promise Him to be a good girl and to respect my parents.
And finally, I'd ask Him for favors, most of which were VERY silly, like "Please God, make my hair straighter" or "God, I want my mum to let me apply nail polish. Please make her change her mind".
How silly I was!

But I remember asking almost every night for 2 things: world peace and helping "poor and hungry people" (as I'd say it).
So, genuinely speaking, my prayers weren't THAT bad! They were pretty good considering I was 5 or 6!

What story pops into your mind when you remember yourself at 5 or 6?

World No Tobacco Day

Every year, on the 31st of May, World No Tobacco Day is celebrated worldwide. And every year, the World Heatlh Organization (WHO) chooses a theme for it.

This year, the theme chosen is "Gender and tobacco with an emphasis on marketing to women".

Tobacco is dangerous to women and men of all ages. We know that.
Respiratory problems, lung cancer, death, etc. We all know its effects on our health.
Shockingly though, many people still aren't aware of the dangers of tobacco!
And worse than that, the majority of smokers know its dangers and continue smoking!

Personally, and as you might have guessed, I don't smoke.
However, I respect people's choice to smoke. They're free!
P.s. Half my friends are smokers.

Still, I think smoking is one of the worst inventions!

The star of E!'s Keeping up with the Kardashians is definitely my favorite style icon.

I am a HUGE fan of the Kardashians and I'm sure I've watched every episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians (all 4 seasons of course)!

Can't wait for Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami season 2 coming in June!!!!

The Swedish singer and songwriter of Roxette celebrates today her 52ndth birthday today!

I can't say I'm a HUGE fan of Roxette, but I absolutely LOVE "Listen to your heart" which is, in my opinion, one of the best songs of the pop duo.

The Celeb Look Of The Day

Today's celebrity look is Ashley Tisdale.

Her outfit is convenient for days where the weather is neither too hot nor freezing.

When Tisdale went back to being a brunette (which she naturally is), I thought it suited her more! Don't you think?

Ashley also has a boho chic style of her own, but she always knows how to dress up for special occasions.

This picture of Rachel Bilson is today's celebrity look.

I absolutely LOVE what she's wearing and this look suits her title as a STYLE ICON.

Why is she a style icon?

1- The 28 years old actress manages to look fashionable on a daily basis and is known for having a vintage/boho chic style. (Have you tried googling her? OMG!)

2- Bilson designed a clothing line with DKNY jeans named "Edie Rose" and the collection was launched in September 2008.

So she's definitely owned her title! Don't you think?
